About Country Folk Humour
What is it, well it is not Ciy Folk humour, there is a difference.
Either one or the other would not get the drift of the other ones
particular humour. Some have experienced a bit of each, and may have
fun with either. Writing lyrics and a melody for a song is not easy.
The two have to jibe, and like story telling, you have to have a theme
something, or many things to write about
To some poems and lyrics some easy. A good melody to fit it is a
different matter. It may be just a hobby, others strive to ceate a
hit some day. There are some that are quite prolific in creating
songs or poetry. Be it sad happy or tragic, it is pleasing or very
entertaining, which brings emotions into play. That is the trick,
from medicore, to a near genius creation. Call it talent, what ever
it is, some got it and some don't. I have written many, just seems
to come, and idea, sudden inspiration, some times in thirty minutes
and takes a little polishing up. Example, most have heard the song
Spanish Eyes, well, one day I came up with Spinech Eyes with complete
vegitable assortment describing her body. Great singing in traffic.
I have been published in USA and Canada. A booklet of Country Folk
Humour, shwing Old McMuddles Humorous misadventures. All one hundred
twenty one lyrics in this one song. You'd have to be in good voice
to sing it all at one time. Now it is Mrs McMuddles turn. Surely
there are sone writers, and would be writers out there, that could
contrbute four line lyrics to a song in her behalf. You will be listed
in the next issue and have your fifteen minutes of claim to fame. And
published it will be, even if I have to do it all by myself. I do all
the layouts, cartoon illustrations, the introduction, and the rest of
write ups myself, then take it to the printers to run of as many
copies as needed. Its much cheaper to get publishd that way, and
keeps the retail price of the book down. Why do I do it, it's a
hobby, besides I like to send copies to every one I know, to keep
them laughing, and in turn they think the old guy is a bit off. Yes
there is the fun of selling a few, like at swap meets for example.
You can do it, but need a lot of imagination, computer savy and such.

some day.
